Our DitchWitch Fleet
Hadlee and Brunton own the Largest Ditchwitch Directional Drill in New Zealand. It is also the largest drill in the South Island.
JT100 Mach 1
The JT100 Mach 1 is a 100,000 pound machine capable of drill shots of over 1 kilometer long. With bore diameters of over 1200mm in diameter dependant on drill shot length and ground conditions. Unlike competitors drills our drill has its own stake down system so there is no need to pour concrete anchor blocks or drive anchor piles to set the machine up. It also has its own on board crane for loading and unloading rods.
4020 Mach 1
One of the biggest directional drills in the South Island. Capable of drill shots of over 300 metres long and 600mm diameter.
All Terrain 3020 Mach 1
This is the largest Ditchwitch All Terrain Drill in New Zealand. It is designed to drill through solid rock. Hadlee and Brunton were the first company in New Zealand to specialize in rock drilling with all terrain machines. Please refer to our projects list.
These machines are much more advanced than conventional drills using mud motor heads. The All Terrain machine uses an advanced dual-drive pipe system and a hydraulic, heavy duty anchor system. They use a fraction of the drilling fluid that a mud motor uses reducing the need for fluid reclamation and providing considerable savings to any project. They are also much faster and accurate. The information from the drilling head is coming from the front of the drill stem as opposed to a mud motor which can be over 5m behind the head.
2020 Mach 1
This machine is brilliant for drill shots in private properties and in cities and towns where you are limited for space but need the power for a difficult or long shot.
JT520
Our smallest drill measuring only 2.97m long x 900mm wide it is ideal for drilling around or under houses, in tight backyards or even inside a building. Drills up to 100mm diameter pipe over 50m long.
