Pipe Lining

Hadlee & Brunton have the exclusive New Zealand (NZ) rights to supply, distribute and install the full range of revolutionary German pipe rehabilitation products manufactured by Amex Sanivar.

Hadlee & Brunton have the exclusive New Zealand (NZ) rights to supply, distribute and install the full range of revolutionary German pipe rehabilitation products manufactured by Amex Sanivar. In particular is the range of Amex pressure liners, known as SaniTube, which are capable of operating pressures exceeding 50 bar. These 3.5mm thick liners can line any type of pipe from 100-year-old steel through to asbestos in lengths of up to 3km. Most importantly there is no resin, curing or grouting involved, just a flanged coupler at each end and inflate to 1 bar pressure to install. These liners can be used for potable water (AS/NZS approved), sewer, industrial waste water along with oil and gas. They will revolutionize the NZ construction industry with major cost and time savings and give aging infrastructure a further 50 to 100 years lifespan.

Amex Sanivar is a German family run business who specialise in the trenchless rehabilitation of pipelines and over the past 45 years, have developed a broad range of rehabilitation solutions for a wide range of applications such as, potable water, sewage, gas, kerosne/petrol and oil. Their range of products are capable of repairing almost any possible leak or defect in pipelines ranging from DN80 right up to DN6000. Combining Amex Sanivars trenchless rehabilitation products with the expertise and specialised trenchless technical knowledge of H&B, means that this partnership can solve most pipeline problems. Bespoke design solutions can also be developed for projects with special design constraints or circumstances.

SaniTube is a close-fit pull-in liner made to withstand high pressures while requiring relatively low amounts of installation equipment on-site however, there is a need to have highly specialised and advance camering capabilities to facilitate the installation. Refer to our Pipeline CCTV section for further information here.

How it works?

  • SaniTube® consists of a textile liner, a double-sided thermoplastic coating
  • Suited for the rehabilitation of all common types of pipes DN80 to DN400

  • Suitable for great variety of media: potable water, sewage, industrial applications, gas, oil, and petrol

  • SaniTube® is pulled-in via standard winch and reconnected to host pipe using a flange coupling

Main advantages

  • Rehabilitation of up to 3000m in a single pull – incl. bends of up to 40°

  • Lifetime of over 50 years – guaranteed!

  • No resin, no impregnation, and no curing needed
  • High resistance to pressure: burst pressures of over 34 bar w/o host pipe and resistant to vacuum

  • Easy installation & no need for special equipment

Burst Pressure

The liner is rated to a pressure of 70 bar (excluding the host pipe). A section of the naked liner and protective jacket between two SaniGrip couplers were sent to Dialog Fitzroy in New Plymouth to undergo a destructive test. The liner, with no host pipe, burst and just over 78 bar. Please refer to the short clip below which was taken at Dialog Fitzroy during the destructive test.
